Sturgeonfishingbc has been operating from the Fraser Canyon River Ranch on the middle Fraser River for 7 years offering Sturgeon Fishing tours in a remote wilderness setting away from the crowds of the lower Fraser River. Located 3.5 hours north of Vancouver or 2 hours from Whistler Resort. At our location you will enjoy epic fishing with our professional guides while you take in magnificent scenery along the Fraser Canyon gazing up at snow covered mountain peaks. Whether you're angling for monster sturgeon, king size chinook salmon, feisty steelhead, huge dolly varden, or plump rainbow trout, our Fraser Canyon River Ranch location offers it all. Lillooet has one of the most pleasant climates in Canada, a combination of the sunny skies of the BC interior with the moderating influences of the coast. Summer attire at our base camp is shorts, sandals, hat, sun glasses and plenty of sunscreen.
The Fraser River is a world class angler's destination 1400 km long with no dams along its main stem. It has the largest population of White Sturgeon in the world and contains all five species of Salmon. Once you hook into a Sturgeon and it explodes out of the river you will be addicted for life as they are the largest and strongest fresh water fish in North America and something to behold. Our guides have years of experience and are dedicated to providing quality service and high catch rates on all our charters whether its angling for pre-historic Sturgeon on the Fraser or fly casting for a beautiful trout on a pristine alpine lake. The wildlife viewing is spectacular along the river as we often spot bald eagles, black bear, big horn sheep, deer, and mountain goats. The scenery, the solitude and the wilderness is second to none on our section of the middle Fraser River surrounded by snow capped peaks and canyon vistas.
After your day of fishing you can relax in your hotel in the historic town of Lillooet or Lytton and enjoy one of the many fine restaurants, cafes and watering holes. There are also many B&B's and Campsites close to us with RV pads. After dinner you can walk down to our own private beach for more sturgeon fishing while relaxing beside a campfire or take a short drive to one of the many lakes nearby to cast out for some rainbows and dollies.

Located on the dry rain shadow side of the Coast Mountains averaging over 300 days of sunshine per year.
Semi-arid conditions make for warm days and cool nights in the summer months with limited rainfall, less than 8 inches per year.
