Accommodations in our Yurts have much the same feel as a cabin, but all in one room. Originally designed in Mongolia as nomadic shelters today’s Yurts are designed for comfort camping. Yurts are a cross between a cabin & a tent and offer an efficient year around engineered shelter that are simply beautiful to stay in. Your home-away-from-home also features rustic log furniture, hardwood floor, two twin/double bunk beds, futon, table, chairs and a small storage cabinet. Our accommodations are "Off the Grid" they're run off a Solar Power system so please leave the hair dryer at home. Let us book you into one of the many adventure activities that are available in the area with local tour operators. Including Horseback Riding, River Rafting, Canoeing & Kayaking, Bird Watching, Mountain Biking, First Nations Cultural Experiences, Golfing, Swimming in a Glacier Lake, Nature Photography, Gold Panning, Historical Museum Tours or a Winery, Orchard and Organic Farm Tour. We can also provide you with local maps to go out an explore on your own the many scenic hiking trails, alpine lakes and the best sight seeing locations in the area for wildlife viewing, bird watching and magnificent sunsets. The Fraser Canyon River Ranch is a short drive to the Stein Valley Nlaka'pamux Heritage Provincial Park. This spectacular wilderness park features150 km (93 mi) of hiking trails and routes, four cable crossings and a suspension bridge. You may spot some 50 species of mammals in the area, including cougars, black and grizzly bears, mountain goats, elk, rocky mountain big horn sheep and wolverine. Bird species include golden eagles, sharp shinned hawks, barred owls, pigmy owls, white-tailed ptarmigan, pileated woodpeckers and rufus hummingbirds, as well as several species of chickadees, warblers and nuthatches. Take a short journey through “Gold Country” and visit the many talented BC Artisans featuring works that encompass paintings & pottery, rock carvings & sculptures as well as bentwood & burl furniture studios. There are also many heritage sites and museums on this Art & Culture Tour that travels along rivers & lakes, mountain & meadows and down into lush valleys. You also have to checkout the small towns of Lillooet and Lytton and visit these charming communities and their many fine gift stores, historical museums, jade/rock shops, cafes and many fine restaurants. Don't forget to visit the Winners Edge Sporting Goods and Fishing Shop for maps, fishing gear and lots of other recreational equipment.
Our fishing trips include top quality fishing gear, comfortable river boats a gourmet lunch and friendly, knowledgeable professional fishing guide service. We offer fly fishing and spin fishing at near by alpine lakes for Rainbow Trout, Dolly’s and bait fishing for Sturgeon. |
